The Historic Downtown Galveston Partnership is proud to announce the return of The Downtown Lofts Tour on June 16 from 10am to 4pm. A unique homes tour, the event features private residences and new to market spaces in beautifully restored buildings downtown.

Lofts Tour is sponsored by Tom Schwenk, Joe Tramonte ,Sand ‘n Sea, Secure Mortgage/Jackie Leach, Stewart Title, Galveston Condo Living, Berkshire Hathaway/Alma Zepada, and Secure Mortgage/Matt Hawkes. Tickets may be purchased online at www.downtowngalveston.org or at 2417 Strand, 9 am, the day of the event.

The downtown area encompasses more than 70 blocks of entertainment venues, galleries, restaurants, and retail stores in a historical ambiance which is what makes downtown Galveston a unique residential option. Comprised of significant architecture listed on the National Historic Register, the Strand boasts the longest contiguous row of iron front buildings in the United States.

The Downtown Revitalization Committee was founded in 1984 to represent the area and has evolved into The Historic Downtown Partnership representing a diversified area of businesses, building owners and residents. The Partnership has become the advocate for all of Downtown Galveston from the Strand/Seaport Historic District to the Arts and Entertainment District on Postoffice St., promoting, enhancing and sustaining the economic vitality, attractiveness and quality of life in Historic Downtown Galveston.

Proceeds from the Lofts Tour benefit The Partnership and its advocacy and marketing programs. Lofts Tour tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased online at www.downtowngalveston.org.
